This is the second Christmas in a row when I have bought a MySims game for myself. Last year's MySims Agents was a fun game with enjoyable, small puzzles and a sufficient amount of variation in the content.
MySims SkyHeroes, however, is quite repetitive and boring, and I say this also in comparison to MySims Racing.
I'll be talking about the solo campaign alone in this post. The missions in the game are just about all of only two variants: dogfights against several others with a team or without, and races with or without powerups. This definitely gets boring quickly.
The writing in the game is also rather boring. The dialogue lacks a lot of the jokes earlier MySims games had.
For aerial racing, the game is OK enough. You got some powerups and gates that nicely tell you in which direction you should be flying to get to the next gate, beside the pointer. Unfortunately, in dogfights the game gets messy in my opinion. As far as I know, you cannot lock onto a single character. Then again, I'm not certain this feature is in Sky Crawlers either.
Compared to the earlier entries in the series, I call this game a disappointment.
